Getting from Kuşadası Port to Ephesus

  • Expect a 30-minute drive each way.
  • You can negotiate a taxi for €100–€110 round-trip (3 stops included).
  • Be prepared to haggle for price and confirm stops: Ephesus, Virgin Mary’s House, Artemis.
  • You do have the option to go through the cruise line. Price check against this video to see which is cheaper.
  • Note: All taxis and buses are required to stop at government-approved shops.

Stop #1: The Ancient City of Ephesus

  • Entry: €40–€52 per person.
  • Use Rick Steves’ free audio tour.
  • Highlights: Roman bathhouses, library, theater, and walkable ruins.
  • Plan 2–3 hours to explore.

Stop #2: The Ephesus Museum

  • €1 upgrade for 4-room immersive experience — worth it!
  • Includes headset in your language.
  • Ends with statue of Artemis.

Stop #3: Virgin Mary’s House

  • Free entry, but long lines expected.
  • No interior photos allowed.
